The FIB residual-current circuit-breaker with a response threshold of 30 mA disconnects so rapidly that no harm can come to persons or animals.
Typical applications:
- Humid production areas
- Laboratories
- Mines
- Agricultural buildings
- Distribution boards for construction sites
FIPS – for selective disconnection
The new FIPS offers the possibility of arranging residual-current circuit-breakers in time-selective progression. In this way, only the breaker immediately upstream of the fault location trips out. The upstream selective breaker, however, does not trip, and the unaffected system parts nearby continue in operation.
FIM – for compact, triple protection
The RCCB combination of FAZ and FIM offers triple connection in a compact device, i.e. overload, short-circuit and residual-current protection.
This combination protects every circuit separately in three ways and is also disconnected individually, as a local protective device. This means personnel protection and the avoidance of unnecessary stoppages of unaffected system parts
Two efficient ranges
The FAZ miniature circuit-breakers and AZ high-capacity miniature circuit-breakers provide efficient and reliable protection for cables and systems in severe industrial environments and in service installations in buildings.
The FAZ miniature circuit-breaker covers the rating range from 0.5 to 63 A with a uniform switching capacity of 10 kA throughout.
Five different tripping characteristics provide the ideal solution for all applications from semiconductor protection to cable production, up to the protection of control transformers.
The AZ high-capacity miniature circuit-breakers come now in a new design with the same standard height as the miniature circuit-breakers and the residual current circuit-breakers. They provide the right solution up to 125 A with a switching capacity of up to 25 kA
The new PKZM 01 motor-protective circuit-breakers for motors up to 16 A are ideally suited for small machines and applications which are preferably operated using pushbutton or palm switches.
A specia l enclosure with IP 40, IP 55 and IP 65 degrees of protection available as surface mount or installation enclosures, feature protection against direct contact, solid foreign bodies and dust as well as the ingress of water.
Whether equipped with protective membranes, locking devices or the respective emergency-stop button, the methods of actuation leave no wishes unfulfilled.
Engineering and inventory management are facilitated as accessories such as voltage releases, trip-indicating auxiliary contacts and auxiliary contacts from the PKZM 0 range can be used
The tried and tested PKZM 0 now switches motors up to 32 A. Simultaneously, its short-circuit switching capacity has been increased significantly. The short-circuit rating (400 V) is now rated to 150 kA up to 12 A and 50 kA up to 32 A.
The PKZM 4 also has a switching capacity up to 50 kA. It facilitates engineering. Current limiters become practically obsolete.
With just two motor protection variants, the entire range from 0.1 to 65 A is covered. It saves precious inventory space and simplifies the e ngineering effort.
The PKZM 4 with a width of just 55 mm is the narrowest switch for 65 A. Precious space in the control panel is saved!
Accessories: Full functionality with only few versions
The auxiliary contact modules can be fitted without any tools and provide fail-safe information about each switching state. This also applies to the NHI-E auxiliary contact module, which fits within the PKZ and can be mounted from the front. Additional advantage: It is within the unit width and thus requires no space at the side.
Whether it be an integrated auxiliary contact, a trip-indicating auxiliary contact, a voltage release or door coupling handles, the accessories for the PKZM 0 can also be used for the PKZM 4
Plug-in trip blocks: Fast adaption to engineering changes
Various plug-in trip blocks allow the PKZ 2 to be converted in no time at all. 3-pole and 4-pole trip blocks are available for motor and system protection. Differential signalling clearly indicates the switching states of the circuit-breaker.
Auxiliary contact modules, voltage releases or trip-indicating auxiliary contacts can be fitted quickly and easily.
When used in combination with the PKZ 2 basic unit, the ZMR-PKZ 2 plug-in trip block with overload relay function switches off the downstream contactor rather than disconnecting the circuit-breaker in the event of a motor overload. The PKZ 2 thus remains switched on and does not need to be manually reset.
PKZ 2 has intelligent accessories to allow flexible solutions for a wide range of communication tasks. The RS-PKZ 2 electronic remote operator can be actuated directly, without any coupling elements from the semi-conductor outputs of a PLC (24 V DC)
