DILA-XHIR22 – switch small signals reliably
The DILA-XHIR22 front-mounted auxiliary contact from Moeller enables users to switch small signals reliably. One auxiliary NO contact and one auxiliary NC contact are provided as micro switches. These contacts with their operating range – min. 1 mA at 3 V – are specially designed for signals as they occur in joint operation with PLCs and other electronic components.
Thanks to their dust-tight design DILA-XHIR22 contacts are also suitable for harsh ambient conditions.
DILA-XHIR22 units are also provided with one conventional NO and one NC contact, which are required for tasks such as self-latching. The new auxiliary contact for electronic applications can be combined with DILA contactor relays and DILM7 to DILM38 contactors (7 to 38 A AC-3 at 400 V). Its dimensions are identical with the established front mounting auxiliary contacts. Both NC contacts, as well as the micro switch and conventional contact meet the mirror contact functions according to IEC/EN 60947-4-1 Ann. F. In addition to signaling in electronic circuits, they are particularly suitable for feedback signals in safety applications such as contactor feedback signals in the feedback loop of a safety PLC.
The DILA-XHIR22 front mounted auxiliary contact is approved for use in accordance with UL and CSA so that it can be used worldwide
Our AC and DC contactors DIL M have absolutely perfect dimensions: externally identical just like twins should be. And that for all four sizes up to 170 A. This simplifies planning and engineering.
The compact external dimensions also save precious space in the control panel.
The contactor series up to 38 A even features integrated auxiliary contacts.
At a second glance the inner values are the most important:
- Integrated suppressor
Voltage peaks must be avoided when controlling the contactor directly from the PLC. This is why all DC contactors feature integrated suppressors ex-works. They ensure that very short switch-off times can be realised.
- No coupling relays necessary
The limitatio n of the DC pick-up power is decisive here. The new contactors DIL M – up to 38 A – can be controlled from a PLC by 0.5 A DC outputs.
- Low pick-up and holding power
The PLC outputs are subject to a significantly lower load. The holding power has been minimised. For example a DILM38 requires a holding power of just 0.5 W. It is therefore unnecessary to have to consider the utilisation factor or maximum current carrying capacity
- Twin box terminals provide safety
Simpler mounting: even different conductor cross-sections are now safer to wire
Moeller produced contactors for the highest currents up to 2000 A.
All the DIL M contactors from 185 A up to 2000 A have electronically controlled drives. You can choose between two available variants: standard and comfort version.
The standard version offers the following benefits for your application with contactors from 185 A to 500 A:
- Significantly less heat rise in the switchgear cabinet due to the sealing consumption being reduced to just 4%
- Long contact lifespan by optimisation of contact forces
- Integrated suppressor for DC actuated contactors
- Auxiliary contacts: 2 NO, 2 NC
- Pricing advantages when standard versions are used
The comfort version offers the following additional benefits for your application with contactors from 185 A to 2000 A:
- Design engineers need to allow only for small control transformers due to reduced pick-up consumption
- Considerably wider voltage tolerance than the Standard demands represents greater reliability in the event of voltage fluctuation
- Direct actuation from PLC possible.
DIL M contactors from 580 A are vacuum contactors that offer considerable advantages over air-break contactors:
- The switching chamber remains absolutely maintenance free for the entire device lifespan.
- The electrical lifespan is significantly longer than with air-break contactors
- It is possible to achieve a higher packing density and cleaner distribution chamber since no open arcing occurs

Phase Sequence Monitoring with a Compact Device
The EMR4-F500-2 phase sequence relay with its compact 22.5 mm width is used for monitoring the clockwise rotation of movable motors for which the phase sequence is important, such as with pumps, saws, drilling machines. Benefits: Additional space in the control panel thanks to the narrow width Protection against damage by means of phase sequence monitoring
A clockwise phase sequence causes the changeover contact to enable the control voltage for the motor switchgear. The EMR4-F500-2 covers the entire voltage range from 200 V AC to 500 V AC
Features
- Phase sequence detection
- Phase loss detection at U < 0.6 x Ue
- LED status indication
- The relay has its own power supply, i.e. an additional supply voltage is not required
The relay features a second changeover contact that is used for indication purposes
For Universal Use
The EMR4-I current monitors are suitable for both AC and DC monitoring tasks. The selectable lower or upper tripping limit means that they can be used for the underload or overload monitoring of pumps and drilling machines.
They are available in two versions, each with three measuring ranges (30/100/1000 mA, 1.5/5/15 A). The multi-voltage coil allows these relays to be used for a wide range of applications. The second changeover contact is provided for direct status indication.
Selective bridging of transitory current peaks
The on-delay can be selected between 0.05 s – 30 s in order to bridge transitory current peaks.
Features
- On-delay 0.5 s – 30 s
- LED status indication
- Measuring range 0.003 A –1 A or 0.3 A –15 A
- Measuring range can be extended with current transformer or shunts
The relay features a second changeover contact that is used for indication purpose
Like rotary switches, P switch disconnectors are manually operated switching devices without any release or switch mechanism but with a direct link between manual operating element and the contact. The contacts are positively opened on de-energization, and the auxiliary contacts are interlocked opposing contacts.
Switchable "N conductors" and/or "HI21 auxiliary contacts" can be connected to the P1, P3, or P5 switch disconnector with a make and break contact. The auxiliary make contact is always switched as a load shedding contact for control of the contactor. In this manner, the contactor assumes the switching task and the switch-disconnector only needs to disconnect the main current circuit
Typical application for P switch disconnectors, e.g:
Maintenance, repair and safety switch
P switch disconnectors are particularly suitable as safe maintenance and repair switches or as enclosed main switches for individual electrical loads.
Multiple padlocks can be connected in the OFF position. This provides a vital safety function: the no-voltage state is visible and switch on is impossible.
ON/OFF switch
P switch disconnectors provide reliable operation with heating and lighting systems, motors, etc. They are also suited for direct switching of motors. Selection of the switch is performed to suit the rated uninterrupted current or the motor rating in accordance with utilization category AC-23A. In applications where frequent switch on and off operations are necessary, the high switching capacity guarantees reliability.
